Hmm, interesting question. I really don't know the answer, but that's something I'd be curious to do at some point.

I can think of a few hacky ways to do it, but there might be a good way lol. Once you have users, you could just update a database with last action, then active users could be in the last 5 mins, 10 mins...or whatever of the activity database.
